Hands up if you get puffy morning face‽ I sleep really flat, which is comfy but so bad for puffing, so this is something I’ve been experiencing for years. At first I bought one of those cute pink rose quartz rollers you see on instagram which I kept in the ice draw of my freezer to help me depuff in the morning. This was cute but not that effective, it would warm up after a few rolls on my face and honestly didn’t do much to help my puffiness. I needed something that would stay cold and actually get rid of it, enter The Skinny Confidential Ice Roller.
I’ve been a fan of Lauryn from The Skinny Confidential for years so buying the ice roller was a no brainer, the thing is I didn’t know how much I needed it until I started using it and now I’m kinda obsessed. It’s pink (which looks great on my makeup table), it’s high quality and it’s bigger than any other roller on the market. It’s also made from aluminum which means it gets super cold and stays cold. Plus, it actually depuffs my face in the morning and the difference is noticeable.
The benefits of ice rolling (& ice in general):
+ depuffs and reduces swelling
+ helps drain the lymphatic system leaving your face looking tighter and contoured
+ tightens and reduces size of pores
+ can soothe rashes and sunburn
+ makes your skin glowy
+ soothes acne
There’s probably loads more but you get the gist.
If you’re wondering how to ice roll it’s simple. Leave your roller in the freezer over night and then when you get up in the morning roll away. Go for upward and outward motions because you don’t want to pull your skin down and you don’t need to apply too much pressure to get the lymphatic drainage benefits, light pressure is all you need.
I would list some ice rollers you need to try but honestly I think The Skinny Confidential one is the only one worth the money. Alternatively, you can use an ice cube but that can get a little bit messy. Either way you NEED to start icing your face in the morning and see the difference, it’s insane.
I might turn this into a little beauty tool 101 series, let me know if that’s something that interests you in the comments.
